Gomez Highway. Around the same time, emergency dispatchers received a separate 911 call reporting that a vehicle had crashed into a wall in the area.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Gerell Reed inside the crashed vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel examined him and determined that he had succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His identity was later confirmed by his next of kin.
