The Benson and Dunn, North Carolina, communities are mourning the tragic passing of Brock Ty Stahl, who died on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 25. His passing has left his wife, young son, unborn child, family members, friends, and loved ones facing an immeasurable loss.
Born on September 23, 2000, in Orange County, North Carolina, Brock was remembered as a hardworking and devoted young man who loved his family deeply. He was the beloved husband of Emma Rae Maples Stahl, his wife of five years, and the loving father of Beckett Allen Stahl. Brock and Emma were also looking forward to welcoming their second child, Sadie, making his sudden passing even more heartbreaking.
Brock worked hard for his family and took great pride in the people he loved. His family remembers the special bond he shared with Emma and Beckett and the happiness they brought into his life. Although his time with them was far too short, the memories they created together will remain a lasting part of his family’s lives.
Brock had a passion for mechanical work and was known for his ability to fix almost anything. He enjoyed working with his hands and solving problems, talents that reflected his determination and practical nature. He was also proud of recently earning a degree in Cyber Security, an accomplishment that represented his commitment to creating a better future for himself and his family.
Following high school, Brock served his country in the United States Army. He later worked for West Farms Wood Products in Newton Grove, North Carolina, and attended Central Baptist Church in Dunn.
Brock was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Nowell, and his father-in-law, Joseph Allen “Joey” Maples. He leaves behind his wife Emma, son Beckett, unborn daughter Sadie, parents, grandparents, siblings, in-laws, extended family, friends, and many others who will deeply miss him.
According to the funeral arrangements, visitation will be held Sunday, August 30, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Eastern Time at Central Baptist Church, 6050 Plain View Highway, Dunn, NC 28334. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the same location. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
The family has asked for thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Emma Stahl for the Stahl Children Educational Fund, 213 W. Church Street, Benson, NC 27504.
